NW Sportshall League - 17th November

37 athletes and their supporters attended Round 2 of the Northwest Sportshall League today and came away with some outstanding results.

Leading the way with wins in both Boys & Girls categories was the ever improving U15's age group. The boys secured victory with a 1,2,3 in the 8 Lap Parlauf and the Girls held off a strong challenge from Wirral to win the 4x2 relay with just inches to spare. Well done to Christopher and Daniel Lamb, Jacob Beesley, David Barrow, Lewis Cowan and George Assan for the boys. Hannah Seabrook, Megan Lang, Erin Makin, Caitlin Young and Emily Smith brought home the points for the Girls.

The U13 Girls came Joint 2nd, well done to Jorden Pilkington, Rosie Dyer, Emily Watts, Olivia Milow, Rebecca Brown, Rebecca Houghton, Mia Langton, Lauren Marshall and Kaitlin Naylor.

The U13 Boys struggled for numbers but still managed a really creditable 3rd place. Well done to Christopher Taktak, Daniel Dobson, Ethan Murray and Benjamin Couthard.

The U11 Boys came up against some huge teams and had a few last minute no shows. They still finished 6th. Well done to Dylan Naylor, Elliot and Ryan Murray, Nathan Rawlinson, Jack Woolland and Liam Sharples.

The U11 Girls also had quite a few late withdrawals but came 3rd. Well done to Amber Escoffery, Amy Barrow, Grace Terry, Katie Lang, Lizzie Tracey, Lauren Sharples and Mali Cooke.

Making their debuts for the Sportshall Squad and worthy of special mention were Daniel Lamb, Mali Cooke, Liam and Lauren Sharples, Emily Watts and Jacob Beesley. Thanks and well done.

And final, but biggest thanks to our wonderful volunteers: Karen Young, Karen Sharples, Stu Woolland, Stuart Cowan, Clare and Ian Brown all stepped in as Team Managers or Field Officials. Without their help, we couldn't compete.
